My husband walked into my study at 5:00 and laughed. “You look like a writer.”
I glanced down at myself: patterned lounge pants, a striped top, and sweat sox.
I said, “What do you mean? I’m fully dressed!”
“It’s your hair.”
I would post a picture of my hair but I do have some semblance of pride.
This is what writing looks like. This is what a GOOD writing day looks like.
Today I finished an article and submitted it, PLUS figured out how to publish my very first Kindle book! It’s a quick read called Grand Canyon by Mule and tells the story of my family’s overnight adventure down the Bright Angel Trail. It’s only 6,000 words and includes two dozen photos. I think it’s a perfect teaser for somebody who’s wondering whether they want to take a mule trip in the Grand Canyon. I priced it at $2.99.

In order to create the book I needed to use Image Optimization, HTML, file compression and zip files. The pictures made it especially challenging.
If all goes well the book should be ready to order in just 12 hours. If you do buy it and have any comments or problems, please let me know. There’s a learning curve to any work in progress, but especially in the technical department.
Next technical challenge: Google Analytics (which I have failed to implement twice already).
At least I can work on it wearing lounge pants.
